Canada are an Associate Member of the ICC, having joined the council in 1968, and are governed by Cricket Canada, formerly known as the Canadian Cricket Association, which was established in 1892. Canada have a long international history, contesting the first ever international cricket match against the United States in New York in 1844. They played their first T20I on 2 August 2008 against the Netherlands at Stormont in Belfast.

Canada have yet to win an ICC title, but they hold a notable place in the game's history as a regular qualifier. They have appeared at four ICC Cricket World Cups, in 1979, 2003, 2007 and 2011, and made their debut at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2024, where they were drawn alongside co-hosts USA, India, Pakistan and Ireland. Canada returned to the T20 World Cup again in 2026.

Canada's primary home international ground is the Maple Leaf Cricket Club in King City, Ontario, which has hosted ODIs and T20Is since 2008 and holds around 7,000 spectators. Cricket Canada is based in the Greater Toronto area, the historic heartland of the Canadian game.

Dilpreet Bajwa captains Canada's T20I side, appointed in January 2026 to lead the team at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. Canada continue to develop their squad across the One Day International pathway through the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2.

For international fans, a standard 10:30 EDT day start at King City converts to 15:30 BST in London, 10:30 EDT in New York, which shares Eastern Time with Ontario, and 00:30 AEST (next day) in Sydney. Check Canada time for live conversions.
