The 2026 sailing season features 27 events across five continents, from inshore fleet racing to solo transatlantic crossings.
SailGP Season 6 runs from January 17 in Perth to the Grand Final on November 28-29 in Abu Dhabi. This is the first season to run within a single calendar year. Thirteen national teams race identical F50 foiling catamarans capable of speeds exceeding 50 knots. All racing streams free on SailGP's YouTube channel, with race start times varying by venue timezone.
The 38th America's Cup cycle builds toward match racing in Naples in July 2027. In 2026, the Preliminary Regatta takes place in Cagliari, Sardinia (May 21-24), with teams racing AC40 foiling monohulls. Emirates Team New Zealand defends the Cup; GB1 (Athena Racing, with Ben Ainslie) is Challenger of Record.
The 200th Cowes Week (August 1-7) marks the bicentenary of the regatta off the Isle of Wight, near London. The Route du Rhum departs Saint-Malo on November 1 for the solo transatlantic race to Guadeloupe, first held in 1978 and run every four years. The inaugural Ocean Race Atlantic starts from New York on September 2, racing to Barcelona.
The 52 Super Series (TP52 class) provides a European circuit from April through October, visiting venues in Barcelona, Cascais near Lisbon, and Palma de Mallorca.
