Hong Kong

Hong Kong are an Associate Member of the ICC, admitted in 1969, and governed by Cricket Hong Kong, China, founded as the Hong Kong Cricket Association in 1968. The body was rebranded to Cricket Hong Kong in 2016 and to Cricket Hong Kong, China in 2023. Hong Kong played their first T20I on 16 March 2014 against Nepal at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. They held One Day International status from 2014 until 2018, when they lost it after the World Cup Qualifier, and now play their international cricket primarily in the T20I format.

As an Associate nation, Hong Kong have yet to win an ICC title. Their high points came on the qualifying circuit. They reached the Men's T20 World Cup twice, in 2014 and 2016, exiting at the group stage on both occasions, and they finished third at the 2014 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier, the result that earned their spell of ODI status. These remain honest measures of a small but durable Associate programme rather than major-trophy claims.

Home international cricket is played almost entirely at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok, the country's only international ground. The venue has hosted World Cricket League and qualifier cricket alongside Hong Kong's home T20Is.

The side is led by Yasim Murtaza, a slow left-arm spinner who took over the captaincy from Nizakat Khan during 2024.
