Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe are a Full Member of the ICC, having been granted Test status in July 1992 to become the ninth Test-playing nation, after first joining as an Associate Member on 21 July 1981. The team is governed by Zimbabwe Cricket, the body formerly known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union, which adopted its current name in 2004. Zimbabwe played their first Test match in October 1992 against India at the Harare Sports Club in Harare.

Zimbabwe have yet to win an ICC global title. Their finest tournament runs came at the 50-over World Cup, where they reached the Super Six stage in both 1999 and 2003. As an Associate side before gaining Test status, Zimbabwe had also qualified for the 1983 and 1987 World Cups, and they remain a regular presence in ICC qualifying competitions.

Zimbabwe's home international cricket is staged principally at two grounds: the Harare Sports Club in Harare, the country's primary Test and one-day venue since 1992, and the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, which became a Test venue in 1994.

Richard Ngarava captains Zimbabwe in Tests and ODIs. Sikandar Raza continues to lead the side in T20Is.

For international fans, Zimbabwe's standard home day start time of 13:00 CAT converts to 11:00 GMT in London, 06:00 EST in New York, and 22:00 AEDT in Sydney. Zimbabwe stays on Central Africa Time (UTC+2) all year and does not observe daylight saving, so the local kick-off is fixed while the converted times shift with each city's clocks.
