FC Barcelona

FC Bayern Munich, based at the Allianz Arena in Munich with a capacity of 75,024, have won 34 Bundesliga titles and 6 UEFA Champions League trophies, including a 8-2 defeat of Barcelona in the 2020 quarter-finals.

Eleven consecutive Bundesliga titles from 2013 to 2023 are a sequence without precedent in the top five European leagues. Bayern won the domestic competition for longer than some clubs had been in existence at the top level. The run ended in 2023-24 when Bayer Leverkusen, under Xabi Alonso, completed an unbeaten Bundesliga season. The loss of the title broke a pattern that had become so established that the German football argument had shifted from who would win the Bundesliga to how close anyone could come.

Hansi Flick's 2019-20 treble, concluded with the 8-2 quarter-final demolition of Barcelona in Lisbon and a Champions League final win over Paris Saint-Germain, was the most dominant single-season run in European football since Guardiola's Barcelona. Thomas Müller's positioning intelligence, Robert Lewandowski's 55 goals in all competitions that season, and the system's collective pressing produced something more cohesive than the sum of its parts.

Vincent Kompany arrived as manager in 2024 after Leverkusen's title disruption. Harry Kane, who joined in 2023 for a reported €110 million and scored 36 Bundesliga goals in his first season, earning the European Golden Shoe, provides the focal attacking point that every Bayern system is built around. Jamal Musiala's emergence as one of Europe's most exciting midfielders gives the squad generational quality that can sustain the club's dominance into the next decade.
