Fulham FC
Fulham play in the Premier League at Craven Cottage (25,700) in Fulham, southwest London, England.
Craven Cottage sits directly on the Thames, its Riverside Stand backing onto the river at a point where the bank curves east toward Putney Bridge. The ground has existed in some form since 1780. The Johnny Haynes Stand, built in 1905 and listed as a Grade II structure, is the oldest stand still in use at a top-flight ground in England. This is not a modern stadium that happens to have old decor; it is a genuinely historic building.
Fulham have been promoted from the Championship five times since 2001, more than any other current Premier League club. Each time they have come up, the question is whether they can sustain it. Under Marco Silva, who arrived in 2021 and rebuilt the squad systematically, the answer has been yes. Promotion in 2022 was followed by a 10th-place finish in 2022-23 and then consolidation. The yo-yo pattern, which defined the club for 20 years, appears to have been interrupted.
Aleksandar Mitrovic, the Serbian striker who defined the promotion campaign with 43 goals in the Championship in 2021-22, was a central figure. His departure to Al-Hilal freed budget. Raul Jimenez, Andreas Pereira, and Kenny Tete became the system’s key operators. Tom Cairney, the club captain, has been part of three promotion seasons and provides continuity that the turnover of players cannot.
The west London derby against Brentford, 4.5 miles east along the river, is the local fixture. The one against Chelsea, 2 miles to the north, is the status match. Fulham have beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League, most memorably with a late equaliser in the final day survival match of 2007-08.
Fulham play on GMT in winter and BST (UTC+1) in summer. A 20:00 Monday night kickoff at Craven Cottage is 15:00 in São Paulo, 21:00 in Lagos, and 04:00 in Tokyo. Supporters checking London time for evening matches will find them at standard European viewing times.
