Ferrari AF Corse

Ferrari returned to top-level endurance racing in 2023 with the 499P and promptly won Le Mans that same year. They won it again in 2024, and again in 2025. That remarkable run makes AF Corse the most successful Hypercar operation in the short history of the class.

The 499P is a full Le Mans Hypercar, built around a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine derived from the Ferrari 296 road car. The combustion engine delivers up to 500 kW as required by the regulations, supplemented by a 200 kW front electric motor that provides all-wheel drive above 190 km/h. The engine acts as a stressed member of the chassis, a design approach that saves weight while adding structural rigidity. Ferrari developed the hybrid system and energy recovery unit in-house, in keeping with its tradition of controlling every major performance variable.

For 2026, AF Corse fields three 499P entries in the Hypercar class. The factory-backed number 50 is shared by Miguel Molina, Antonio Fuoco, and Nicklas Nielsen. The number 51 carries Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi. The privateer number 83, run under the AF Corse banner with Ferrari factory support, pairs Robert Kubica, Phil Hanson, and Yifei Ye, the same trio that won the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans and finished runners-up in the drivers' championship.

The depth of Ferrari's 2026 programme is formidable. Three 499Ps in Hypercar, multiple 296 LMGT3 Evo entries, and a string of proven winners across all three seats of the top cars. The primary target is a fourth consecutive Le Mans victory, which would cement the 499P era as one of the most dominant in the race's century-long history.
