Akie Iwai (岩井 明愛) is a professional golfer from Saitama Prefecture, Japan, born on July 5, 2002. She competes on the LPGA Tour and the LPGA of Japan Tour (JLPGA). Her headline achievement to date is winning the Standard Portland Classic in August 2025, her maiden LPGA Tour title, by a margin of four strokes.

Iwai turned professional in 2021 and joined the JLPGA Tour, winning on the developmental Step-Up circuit and the JLPGA Rookies Championship in her first year. She broke through in 2023 with three JLPGA titles and a runner-up finish on the money list, building a career total of six wins on that tour. In 2024 she showed she could compete at the top level globally, finishing tied seventh at the Women's British Open and tied tenth at the Evian Championship, two of the five women's majors. She earned her LPGA Tour card for 2025 by finishing tied fifth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament in December 2024.

Iwai's 2025 LPGA rookie season was notable for its consistency as well as its headline win. She posted a final-round 61 at the Honda LPGA Thailand to finish one stroke outside a win, and closed the Portland Classic with a final-round 66 to seal victory. Her twin sister Chisato also plays professionally and won the Riviera Maya Open that same season.
