Aldrich Potgieter is a South African professional golfer born on September 13, 2004, in Pretoria and raised in Mossel Bay. He plays full-time on the PGA Tour and became the youngest South African ever to win a PGA Tour event when he claimed the 2025 Rocket Classic in Detroit at age 20.

Potgieter rose quickly through amateur and developmental golf. He won the 2022 Amateur Championship at just 17, becoming the second-youngest winner in that event's history behind Matteo Manassero. After turning professional in 2023, he made his first mark on the Korn Ferry Tour by winning The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic in January 2024 at 19 years and 133 days old, making him the youngest winner in Korn Ferry Tour history and breaking a record that had stood since Jason Day set it in 2007. He also shot a 59 in the second round of the 2024 Astara Golf Championship. He earned his full PGA Tour card for the 2025 season by finishing 29th on the Korn Ferry Tour points list. The PGA Tour named him its 2025 Rookie of the Year.

His game is defined by raw power off the tee and an ability to compete at the top of leaderboards in high-pressure moments. At the PGA Championship at Aronimink in May 2026, Potgieter opened with a 67 and finished T35. He also appeared at the 2026 The Masters at Augusta National. At 21, he is already a consistent presence in major championship fields.
