Alex Fitzpatrick is an English professional golfer born on 2 January 1999 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. His older brother is Matt Fitzpatrick. After a standout amateur career at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, Fitzpatrick turned professional in June 2022 and now competes on both the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour. As of late May 2026 he is ranked 82nd in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Fitzpatrick rose to No. 4 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking during his college years, representing England at the 2019 and 2021 Walker Cups and reaching the quarterfinals of the 2018 U.S. Amateur at Pebble Beach. His first professional win came at the 2023 British Challenge on the Challenge Tour, which he claimed by five shots. His breakthrough on the main stage arrived in early 2026 when he won the Hero Indian Open by two strokes over Eugenio Chacarra, his maiden DP World Tour title. Weeks later he and Matt became the Zurich Classic of New Orleans champions, posting a tournament-record 57 in the four-ball format on their way to victory.

Fitzpatrick's 2026 season has been his most productive as a professional. He competed in the PGA Championship at Aronimink in May 2026 and earned a spot in the U.S. Open field at Shinnecock Hills.
