Alexa Pano is an American professional golfer from Lake Worth Beach, Florida, who competes primarily on the LPGA Tour. Born on August 20, 2004, in Westborough, Massachusetts, she earned her LPGA Tour card through Q-School in 2022 at the age of 18 and has been a full Tour member since 2023. Standing 5 feet 11 inches tall, Pano is one of the more physically imposing players in women's golf, with the ball-striking profile to match.
Pano's reputation preceded her professional debut by years. At age seven she was filmed at the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship for the 2013 documentary The Short Game, and she went on to win five U.S. Kids Golf World titles between 2011 and 2016. She was the first three-time national finalist in the Drive, Chip and Putt competition, played her first LPGA Tour event at 13 at the 2018 Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic, and in 2019 became the youngest competitor in the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur. She turned professional in April 2022. Her breakthrough came on August 20, 2023, exactly her 19th birthday, when she won the ISPS Handa World Invitational at Galgorm Castle Golf Club in a three-hole playoff over Gabriella Cowley and Esther Henseleit. She also posted a T10 at the 2024 AIG Women's British Open, her best result in a women's major to date.
