Alison Lee is an American professional golfer born on February 26, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, to Korean immigrant parents. She competes primarily on the LPGA Tour and has also accumulated results on the Ladies European Tour. A long-hitting, technically polished player, Lee has been a consistent presence in LPGA Tour fields since earning her card in 2015 and has represented the United States twice at the Solheim Cup, winning on both occasions (2015 and 2024).
Lee's amateur record was exceptional. She held the World Amateur Golf Ranking No. 1 position for 16 weeks during the 2013-14 season while studying at UCLA, won the 2014 Pac-12 Championship, and represented the United States at the 2014 Curtis Cup. She left UCLA in December 2014 after one and a half seasons, turned professional, and won the final stage of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament to earn her Tour card immediately. Her professional wins have both come on the Ladies European Tour: the Aramco Team Series in Sotogrande (2021) and the Aramco Team Series in Riyadh (2023). On the LPGA Tour she has accumulated 25 top-10 finishes across 194 starts, with career earnings exceeding $4.3 million, though a first LPGA win remains the target her career has been building toward.
Her best results in women's majors include a T6 at the 2015 Evian Championship and a T8 at the 2022 Chevron Championship. Her game has drawn consistent praise for her iron play and ball-striking consistency, qualities that have kept her competitive on the toughest major layouts.
