Andrea Lee is a Korean-American professional golfer from Hermosa Beach, California, competing full-time on the LPGA Tour since 2020. Born on August 15, 1998 in Los Angeles, she rose to world number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking during 2015 and 2019, spending a combined 17 weeks at the top. As of late 2025 she held a Rolex Women's World Golf Ranking of approximately No. 20, making her one of the more consistent American presences in the global top tier.
Lee built her foundation at Stanford University, where she played from 2016 to 2019 and became the most decorated golfer in school history, setting a program record with nine individual titles and earning WGCA Freshman of the Year honors in 2017. She capped her amateur career by winning the Mark H. McCormack Medal as the world's top-ranked amateur at year-end 2019, then earned LPGA Tour status through Q-Series that same autumn. She opened her professional account in April 2022 with a playoff victory at the Epson Tour's Casino Del Sol Golf Classic, then claimed her first LPGA title in September 2022 at the Portland Classic, winning by one stroke at 19 under par. She has since represented the United States at two Solheim Cups, recording a 2-0-1 mark in the 2024 edition as Team USA won.
Lee's best major result came at the 2024 U.S. Women's Open, where she co-held the 54-hole lead and finished tied for third. She has also posted a tie for fifth at the 2025 Evian Championship and a tie for seventh at the 2020 AIG Women's British Open, showing the kind of proximity to major titles that marks her as a genuine contender. Her game blends ball-striking consistency developed through years of elite amateur competition with a composure under pressure evident in her final-round showings at marquee events.
