Austin Eckroat is an American professional golfer from Edmond, Oklahoma, born January 12, 1999. He competes on the PGA Tour and has established himself as a consistent presence on tour. His two PGA Tour victories both came in the 2024 season, making it the most productive year of his professional career to date.
Eckroat attended Oklahoma State University from 2017 to 2020, where he was a four-time All-American and part of the Cowboys team that won the NCAA championship in 2018. He represented the United States in the 2021 Walker Cup before turning professional that same year. He worked his way through the Korn Ferry Tour, earning his PGA Tour card after finishing second at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship in 2022. His first PGA Tour win came at the Cognizant Classic in March 2024, where he finished three strokes clear of the field. He followed that with a second title at the World Wide Technology Championship in November 2024, shooting a final-round 63 to hold off the field by one stroke.
He recorded a nine-hole score of 29 in the final round of the 2023 U.S. Open, tying a tournament record and finishing tied for tenth. He was entered in the field for the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink.
