Auston Kim is an American professional golfer from St. Augustine, Florida, who competes on the LPGA Tour. Born on August 16, 2000, in Long Island, New York, Kim moved to Florida as a child and developed her game there before becoming one of the more compelling young talents in women's professional golf.
Kim played college golf at Vanderbilt University from 2018 to 2022, earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors, honorable mention All-American recognition, and a place on the Annika Award Watch List. She graduated with a degree in political science and turned professional in 2022. Her first two seasons were spent on the Epson Tour, where she accumulated ten top-10 finishes in 2023, including a runner-up result at the Island Resort Championship, before winning the Epson Tour Championship with a score of 265, 23-under par. That result secured her LPGA Tour card for 2024.
Kim's rookie LPGA season showed immediate promise: she finished tied sixth in her first start, recorded a solo third at the Lotte Championship in Hawaii, and closed the year sixth in Rookie of the Year voting. Her breakthrough on the major stage came at the 2025 KPMG Women's PGA Championship, where she began the final round nine shots off the pace and fired a closing 68 to finish tied second, three shots behind winner Minjee Lee.
