Christiaan Bezuidenhout was born on 18 May 1994 in Delmas, Mpumalanga, a small town east of Johannesburg. He competes primarily on the PGA Tour and holds membership on the Sunshine Tour. His career-best ranking of 33 was reached on 31 January 2021. His three DP World Tour victories remain the headline achievements of a career built steadily from the Highveld to the biggest stages in the sport.
Bezuidenhout turned professional in 2015 and immediately won the Big Easy Tour Order of Merit. He earned his European Tour card through Q-School at the end of 2017 and was named 2016-17 Sunshine Tour Rookie of the Year, awarded the Bobby Locke Trophy. His first DP World Tour title came at the 2019 Andalucia Masters, and in late 2020 he won back-to-back weeks in South Africa, taking the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek and then the South African Open at Gary Player Country Club wire-to-wire. He also represented South Africa at both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
His game is built on accuracy and a notably sharp short game rather than length. At the 2025 U.S. Open he posted a T12 finish, and at the 2025 Open Championship he finished T34. At the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink he finished tied 35th.
