Daniel Brown is a professional golfer from Northallerton, Yorkshire, born on 11 October 1994. He plays on the PGA Tour after earning his card at the end of the 2025 DP World Tour season. Brown is one of a small group of English players to have led a major championship in recent years, making him a recognisable name on both sides of the Atlantic.

Brown turned professional in 2017 following a strong amateur career that included the 2016 English Amateur Championship. He spent several years on the Evolve Pro Tour and PGA EuroPro Tour before graduating to the Challenge Tour, eventually qualifying for the DP World Tour in November 2022 by finishing third at Q-School. His first European Tour victory came in August 2023 at the ISPS Handa World Invitational in Northern Ireland, where he won by five shots. He doubled his tally in July 2025 at the BMW International Open in Germany, holding off compatriot Jordan Smith by two strokes to finish at 22 under par. That win secured his spot among the DP World Tour's leading earners and delivered a PGA Tour card for 2026.

Brown's major championship debut at the 2024 The Open Championship at Royal Troon was remarkable. He shot a bogey-free 65 in the opening round to lead the field, before eventually finishing tied tenth. It was a performance that announced him as a genuine threat in major conditions. He returned to compete in the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink, completing all four rounds for a tied 75th finish at eight over par. Brown is a measured, accurate player who relies on his short game and putting rather than length off the tee.
