Erik van Rooyen (born February 21, 1990, in Bellville, Western Cape) is a South African professional golfer who plays primarily on the PGA Tour. He turned professional in 2013 after completing his college career at the University of Minnesota, where he won the 2012 Minnesota State Amateur. His career-high world ranking of 40th came in February 2020 following a tie for third at the WGC-Mexico Championship.

Van Rooyen built his game across multiple tours before reaching the PGA Tour. His first professional wins came on the Sunshine Tour and Challenge Tour in 2017, and he earned his European Tour breakthrough at the 2019 Scandinavian Invitation, winning by a stroke with a tournament-record 261. He was named the 2018 European Tour Graduate of the Year. On the PGA Tour he won the 2021 Barracuda Championship, breaking the tournament scoring record with 50 modified stableford points, and returned to the winner's circle in November 2023 at the World Wide Technology Championship at El Cardonal. His best major results include a tie for eighth at the 2019 PGA Championship and a tie for seventeenth at the 2018 The Open Championship.

Van Rooyen plays an aggressive, attacking style off the tee, generating strong distance with a powerful and fluid swing. His short game and putting are consistent strengths, and he has shown the composure to close tournaments under pressure.
