Frida Mikaela Kinhult is a Swedish professional golfer born on September 25, 1999, in Fiskebäckskil, a small coastal community on the island of Skaftö on Sweden's west coast. She grew up in a golfing family: her father is a golf professional and her brother Marcus Kinhult won the 2019 Betfred British Masters on the European Tour. Frida began playing at Skaftö Golf Club as a child and went on to compete on the LPGA Tour, which she joined in 2021.
Kinhult rose quickly through the amateur ranks, representing Sweden from 2013 onward. She helped the Swedish national teams win the 2017 European Girls' Team Championship and the 2018 and 2019 European Ladies' Team Championship, and she reached the peak of the World Amateur Golf Ranking in June 2019. After turning professional in December 2019, she earned LPGA Tour membership by winning the 2020 Symetra Tour Championship, a victory that also secured her a place in the U.S. Women's Open. She maintained top-100 status in the Rolex Rankings across the 2022, 2023, and 2024 seasons, finishing with a tied-third result at the 2024 Ford Championship among her career highlights.
Kinhult returned to qualifying school after the 2025 season and earned her LPGA Tour card for 2026 by finishing inside the top finishers at Q-School. Her game is built on a strong amateur foundation that developed through competitive European team golf from a young age, and she continues to develop on tour.
