Kensei Hirata is a professional golfer from Osaka, Japan. He competes primarily on the PGA Tour and Japan Golf Tour (JGTO), and carries a current Official World Golf Ranking of around 245, with a career-best of 99th. In two full seasons on the JGTO, he established himself as one of the most productive young players on the circuit before pursuing opportunities in North America.

He attended Osaka Gakuin University and turned professional in 2022. His 2023 JGTO season announced him to a wider audience: he won the Mizuno Open, which also served as a Gateway to The Open qualifying event, and later claimed the Japan PGA Championship, finishing 11 under par and winning by two strokes. He was a two-time winner on the Japan Tour that year. His 2024 season was even more prolific: four victories, including the Fujisankei Classic, Shinhan Donghae Open, and Panasonic Open.

In the 2025-26 PGA Tour season he has made cuts at roughly half his starts and logged two top-25 finishes, continuing to build his standing on the international stage.
