Kevin Kisner is an American professional golfer born on February 15, 1984, in Aiken, South Carolina. He attended the University of Georgia and turned professional in 2006. After years on developmental tours, including a win on what is now the Korn Ferry Tour in 2010, he established himself on the PGA Tour and collected four victories over his career. His best run in the world rankings came in early 2016, when he cracked the top 15.

Kisner's first PGA Tour win came in his 109th start at the 2015 RSM Classic, a breakthrough that followed three runner-up finishes in playoffs that same season. He added the 2017 Dean and DeLuca Invitational, the 2019 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play (defeating Matt Kuchar 3 and 2 in the final), and the 2021 Wyndham Championship. His most notable major result was a tied-second finish at the 2018 The Open Championship at Carnoustie, where he led after the opening round with a 66 before finishing two strokes behind champion Francesco Molinari. He also represented the United States in the Presidents Cup in 2017 and 2022.

Kisner is widely regarded as one of the better match-play competitors of his generation, with a game built on reliable ball-striking, sharp short-game control, and an aggressive competitive temperament. His comfort on firm, fast links-style turf was evident at Carnoustie, where his putting and course management drew comparisons to seasoned links campaigners.
