Kevin Yu (Yu Chun-an) was born on August 11, 1998, in Taoyuan, Chinese Taipei, and lives and trains in Scottsdale, Arizona. He competes on the PGA Tour under the Chinese Taipei flag. His breakthrough came in October 2024 when he won the Sanderson Farms Championship at the Country Club of Jackson, winning on the first extra hole of a playoff against Beau Hossler at 23-under par. That victory made him only the third player from Chinese Taipei to win on the PGA Tour, following T.C. Chen in 1987 and C.T. Pan in 2019.

Yu won the Junior Players Championship in 2015. At the 2014 Asian Games he took team gold and individual bronze, and he represented Chinese Taipei at the 2017 Summer Universiade. He went on to play for Arizona State University, winning three individual collegiate titles. As an amateur he qualified for the U.S. Open in three consecutive years (2018, 2019, and 2020). He turned professional in 2021 and earned his Korn Ferry Tour card through the PGA Tour University program, graduating to the full tour.

Yu is recognised as one of the longer hitters on tour. His 2025 major season included appearances at The Masters, the PGA Championship, and The Open Championship at Royal Portrush. Into 2026 he retained his PGA Tour card via a tournament winner's exemption and continued building on his record as one of the leading players from Chinese Taipei on the world stage.
