Lanto Maitreya Griffin (born June 15, 1988) is an American professional golfer competing on the PGA Tour. He grew up in Blacksburg, Virginia, having moved there from his birthplace of Mount Shasta, California. Griffin played college golf at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was named the 2009 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year, and turned professional in 2010.

Griffin's path to the PGA Tour was anything but straightforward. He spent years on minor tours, including stints on PGA Tour Latinoamerica in 2015 and 2016 where he won the Roberto De Vicenzo Punta del Este Open Copa NEC in 2015. He earned his first PGA Tour card for the 2017-18 season after finishing 23rd on the Web.com Tour money list, then lost it before fighting his way back through the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019, finishing sixth in the regular season standings. The story of his persistence became the centerpiece of his career narrative, and it paid off on October 13, 2019, when he won the Houston Open by one stroke over Scott Harrington and Mark Hubbard, posting a 14-under total of 274. It was his first PGA Tour win, at age 31.

Griffin's game is built on consistency rather than flair. His approach leans on hitting greens in regulation and eliminating big numbers, a course-management philosophy he has spoken about openly. His 2021 season saw him reach a career-high world ranking of 49th. He competed at the PGA Championship (T19 in 2020), the U.S. Open (T35 in 2021), and The Open Championship (T33 in 2021).
