Max Homa is an American professional golfer born on November 19, 1990, in Burbank, California. He competes full-time on the PGA Tour and held a peak world ranking of fifth in April 2023. As of the 2026 season he sits at approximately 123rd in the Official World Golf Ranking, though his results at the major championships have continued to outperform his ranking position. He is eligible for and participates in all four men's majors: The Masters, the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open, and The Open Championship.

Homa attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he won both the Pac-12 individual title and the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship in 2013. He turned professional the same year. His first PGA Tour win came at the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship, and he went on to collect five more titles through 2023, including back-to-back Fortinet Championship victories in 2021 and 2022 and a second Wells Fargo title in 2022. His sixth win came at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open. He was a stand-out performer at the 2023 Ryder Cup, going 3-1-1 as the leading points scorer on the United States team, and he was also part of winning Presidents Cup squads in 2022 and 2024.

At the majors, Homa has been a reliable presence at Augusta National. He tied for third at the 2024 Masters and followed it with a tied-ninth finish at the 2026 Masters, carding a closing 67 on Sunday for his third consecutive top-12 result at the tournament. That run secured his automatic entry to the 2027 edition. His best Open Championship result is a tied-tenth at the 2023 edition. Known for consistent ball-striking and a strong short game, he has also built a substantial public following through his candid social media presence.
