Nick Taylor is a Canadian professional golfer who plays full-time on the PGA Tour. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 14, 1988, he grew up in Abbotsford, British Columbia. A five-time PGA Tour winner, Taylor is best known for sinking a 72-foot eagle putt on the fourth playoff hole to win the 2023 RBC Canadian Open, becoming the first Canadian to claim that title since Pat Fletcher in 1954.
Taylor had a decorated amateur career at the University of Washington, where he was a two-time All-American and two-time Pac-10 Golfer of the Year. He won the 2007 Canadian Amateur Championship at age 19 and, at the 2009 U.S. Open at Bethpage Black, carded a second-round 65 as an amateur, setting what was then the record for the lowest round by an amateur in major championship history. He turned professional in 2010, earned his PGA Tour card for the 2014–15 season via the Web.com Tour Finals, and won his first tour event that same year at the Sanderson Farms Championship. Further victories followed at the 2020 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the 2024 WM Phoenix Open (his second playoff win), and the 2025 Sony Open in Hawaii, where he again won in a playoff to extend his flawless 3-0 record in tour play-offs.
In 2026 he finished tied for 26th at the PGA Championship at Aronimink, and posted a tied for 41st at The Masters at Augusta National.
