Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen is a Danish professional golfer born on July 3, 1999, in Nivå, a coastal town north of Copenhagen. He competes on the PGA Tour as a full member in 2026 and holds dual membership on the DP World Tour. After a meteoric rise through the professional ranks, he reached a career-high OWGR ranking of 47 in January 2026. His headline achievement to date is winning the 2025 Crown Australian Open at Royal Melbourne, where he held off home favourite Cameron Smith by a single stroke to claim his first DP World Tour title and secure an invitation to The Masters.

Neergaard-Petersen spent five seasons at Oklahoma State University, graduating in 2023 and earning All-American recognition. His Oklahoma State teammates included future PGA Tour winners Viktor Hovland and Austin Eckroat, and the programme gave him early exposure to championship-calibre course management. He turned professional in 2023 and joined the Challenge Tour, announcing himself immediately with a tied-seventh finish on his DP World Tour debut at the BMW International Open. In 2024 he won three times on the Challenge Tour -- the Kolkata Challenge in March, the UAE Challenge in April, and the German Challenge in September -- and topped the Road to Mallorca Rankings to earn promotion to the DP World Tour. His 2025 DP World Tour campaign included a runner-up at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, and he sealed PGA Tour promotion by birdying three of his last four holes at the DP World Tour Championship.

He made his major championship debut at the 2025 U.S. Open, finishing T12 at Oakmont -- his best result in a major to date. His Australian Open win the following December confirmed that his game travels across hemispheres, conditions, and pressure situations. He made his Masters debut at Augusta National in April 2026.
