Ricky Castillo is an American professional golfer born on August 28, 2001, in Yorba Linda, California. He competes on the PGA Tour and reached a career-high world ranking of 86 in March 2026. Castillo announced himself at the top level of the sport by winning the 2026 Puerto Rico Open at Grand Reserve Country Club, closing at 17 under par to edge Chandler Blanchet by one stroke -- his first PGA Tour title.

Castillo attended the University of Florida starting in 2019 and made an immediate impact on the collegiate scene. As a freshman in 2020 he earned the NCAA Division I Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award and SEC Freshman of the Year honors, and briefly held the top spot in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in late 2020. He was part of the United States team that won the 2021 Walker Cup and helped the Florida Gators win the 2023 NCAA Golf Championship. After turning professional in 2023 he won the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open on the Korn Ferry Tour in a playoff, securing full Korn Ferry status, before earning his PGA Tour card for the 2024-25 season through consistent results including a runner-up finish and four top-10s.

On the PGA Tour, Castillo has shown resilience and a capacity for clean ball-striking under pressure. He has also shown the ability to compete in major championship fields, playing the PGA Championship at Aronimink in 2026.
