Ryo Hisatsune (久常 涼) was born on September 9, 2002, in Okayama, Japan. He competes primarily on the PGA Tour, with co-membership on the DP World Tour. He is one of the youngest full-time members on the PGA Tour and a leading figure in Japanese golf's next generation. His headline achievement to date is his victory at the 2023 Cazoo Open de France at Le Golf National.

Hisatsune turned professional in 2020 at 18. His first two seasons on the Japan Challenge Tour produced three wins and the money list title in the 2020-21 season. He earned DP World Tour status through the 2022 Qualifying School, and his debut season in Europe in 2023 was exceptional: beyond his French Open victory, he received the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year award. He converted his Race to Dubai finish into a PGA Tour card for the 2024 season.

His game is built on consistent ball-striking and shot-making precision over raw power. His approach play is a particular strength. In his 2025-26 PGA Tour season, he finished tied for second at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open. At the majors, he has appeared at The Masters at Augusta National and at the PGA Championship, where he recorded his best major result of T18 in 2024 before finishing T35 at Aronimink in 2026.

At 23, Hisatsune is still early in his development as a PGA Tour player, and his results to date point to a floor most players his age have not yet established.
