Stephan Jaeger is a professional golfer from Munich, Germany, who competes full-time on the PGA Tour. Born on May 30, 1989, he moved to the United States as a teenager, attending the Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, before playing collegiate golf at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He turned professional in 2012 and now resides in Chattanooga.
Jaeger built his career methodically on what was then called the Web.com Tour, racking up six Korn Ferry Tour wins in total, tied for second on the all-time list. His most extraordinary moment came at the 2016 Ellie Mae Classic, where he opened with a 12-under par 58, one of the lowest rounds ever recorded in professional golf, and went on to win with a 72-hole total of 250 (30 under par), setting the aggregate record for that tour. He won twice more in 2017 to earn his PGA Tour card and added titles in 2018, 2020, and 2021, winning the Korn Ferry Tour Player of the Year award for the 2020-21 season. His first PGA Tour victory came on March 31, 2024, at the Texas Children's Houston Open, where he finished at 12 under to win by one stroke.
He finished tied for 18th at the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink, sharing the first-round lead with six other players after a three-under 67.
