Sudarshan Yellamaraju is a Canadian professional golfer competing on the PGA Tour in 2026. Born on July 9, 2001, in Visakhapatnam, India, he moved to Winnipeg, Canada at age four before later settling in Mississauga, Ontario. His rapid rise through professional golf has made him one of the more compelling rookie stories on Tour heading into the 2026 major season.

Yellamaraju turned professional in 2021, bypassing the college system after scholarship funding fell short. He spent two years on PGA Tour Canada and two years on the Korn Ferry Tour before earning full PGA Tour status with a decisive win at the 2025 Bahamas Great Abaco Classic, where he finished at -25, five strokes clear of the field. His amateur career included a notable victory at the 2017 Investor's Group Ontario Men's Amateur, which he won by a single stroke as the youngest player in the field. He entered the 2026 season as a true rookie on the biggest stage.

What sets Yellamaraju apart is how he developed his game: largely self-taught, studying YouTube footage of professional golfers alongside his father, with no formal swing coach during his formative years. He announced himself to a wider audience with a tied-fifth finish at The Players Championship, four shots behind winner Cameron Young, after already making the cut at five of his first six events on Tour in 2026.
