Tony Finau is a professional golfer from Salt Lake City, Utah, born on September 14, 1989. Of Tongan and Samoan heritage, he was the first player of such ancestry to compete on the PGA Tour. Standing 6'4", he competes full time on the PGA Tour and is known as one of the longest hitters in the game.

Finau turned professional in 2007 at age 17 and claimed his first PGA Tour title at the 2016 Puerto Rico Open. His most productive stretch came from 2021 to 2023, when he won five times: The Northern Trust (2021), the 3M Open, Rocket Mortgage Classic, and Cadence Bank Houston Open in a remarkable three-win 2022 season, then the Mexico Open in 2023. That gives him six PGA Tour victories in total. Though a major championship title has remained out of reach, his best results include a tie for third at the U.S. Open in 2024, third place at The Open Championship in 2019, a tie for fourth at the PGA Championship in 2020, and a tie for fifth at The Masters in 2019. He also played in the final group on Sunday at the 2018 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, entering the day in a four-way tie for the lead before finishing in fifth place. He has represented the United States at the Ryder Cup (2018, 2021) and Presidents Cup (2019, 2022, 2024).

Finau generates exceptional clubhead speed through a notably short, compact backswing. His athletic build and coordination allow him to produce power that few on Tour can match.
