Tyler Duncan

Tyler Reed Duncan is an American professional golfer born July 13, 1989, in Columbus, Indiana. He attended Purdue University, where he played college golf for the Boilermakers, before turning professional in 2012. After working his way through the PGA Tour Latinoamerica circuit in 2014 and the Web.com Tour from 2015 to 2017, Duncan earned his PGA Tour card for the 2017-18 season by finishing T-11 in the Web.com Tour Finals.

Duncan's defining career moment came at the 2019 RSM Classic at Sea Island, Georgia, where he defeated Webb Simpson in a playoff to claim his first PGA Tour title. His path to the title was set by a second-round 61, the lowest round of his tour career. He closed with a final-round 65 to finish at 19 under par. The victory was his first win in a multiple-day event since capturing the 2011 Indiana Amateur. His uncle, Andrew Johnson, a former Nationwide Tour winner, serves as his swing coach.

Duncan's game is built around accuracy and control, with his swing work focused on managing trajectory and spin rather than maximising distance. He made the cut at the 2020 U.S. Open, recording a T34 finish that stands as his best result in a major championship.
