Zachary James Blair was born on August 20, 1990, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and raised in St. George, Utah. He plays on the PGA Tour. A product of Brigham Young University, where he competed from 2009 to 2013 and earned All-American recognition in 2012, Blair turned professional in 2014 and has spent the better part of a decade navigating the grind between the PGA Tour and what is now the Korn Ferry Tour.

Blair earned his first PGA Tour card through the 2014 Web.com Tour Finals and has worked to keep it ever since. His most significant professional victory came at the 2019 Ellie Mae Classic on the Korn Ferry Tour, a one-stroke win at TPC Stonebrae that returned him to the PGA Tour for the 2019-20 season. His best result on the PGA Tour came at the 2023 Travelers Championship, where he finished tied for second. He has appeared in multiple major championships, including a T-26 finish at the 2024 U.S. Open and a T-53 at the 2024 PGA Championship.

Blair is one of the shortest hitters on Tour by driving distance, which places consistent demands on his iron play and short game. He compensates with accuracy and course management, leaning heavily on his approach game to manufacture scoring opportunities. At the 2023 Travelers Championship his iron play was a particular strength, leading his section of the field in strokes gained approach during the run to a near-win. His perseverance through Tour-card losses and medical-exemption status reflects a player who has continued to compete at the highest level well into his mid-30s.
