Alex Riberas

Alex Riberas is a Spanish racing driver born on 27 January 1994 who competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for the Heart of Racing Aston Martin THOR Team, sharing the #009 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH with Marco Sorensen, with Roman de Angelis joining for the longer endurance rounds. Riberas has been an Aston Martin factory driver since 2020.

He moved into the Hypercar class in 2025 after seasons in the LMGT3 category, and was part of the crew that achieved Aston Martin Valkyrie's first podium in global competition at the 2025 Motul Petit Le Mans, alongside Ross Gunn and Roman de Angelis. In the 2025 WEC season he led a race at the Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain, the first time the #009 car reached the front on merit.

The #009 lineup is unchanged for 2026 with Riberas and Sorensen sharing the car for sprint rounds while de Angelis and Gunn join for the endurance events. At the 2026 6 Hours of Spa, Riberas was involved in a high-speed incident that ended the car's race.
