André Lotterer is a German racing driver with one of the longest and most varied endurance careers in the current WEC field. In 2026, he drives the #17 Genesis GMR-001 for Genesis Magma Racing alongside Pipo Derani and Mathys Jaubert, competing in the team's maiden Hypercar season. Lotterer has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times, in 2011, 2012, and 2014 with Audi, and has two FIA World Endurance Championship titles to his name from 2012 and 2024.
After years in Formula E with Techeetah and Porsche Penske, Lotterer stepped away from single-seater racing to focus on endurance. His first season back in WEC with Porsche in 2024 ended with a second championship title. Moving to Genesis for 2026 brings a new challenge: helping build a brand new programme from the ground up as one of the Korean manufacturer's lead drivers.
At the 2026 Le Mans 24 Hours, Genesis makes its Hypercar debut at the Circuit de la Sarthe. For Lotterer, the race represents a chance to add a fourth Le Mans win with a fourth different manufacturer, and to deliver Genesis its first top-class Le Mans result in what amounts to the team's most important weekend of the year.
