Brendon Hartley is a New Zealand racing driver and one of the most accomplished endurance specialists of the Hypercar era. He drives the #8 Toyota TR010 Hybrid alongside Sébastien Buemi and Ryo Hirakawa in the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship. Hartley also spent two seasons in Formula One with Toro Rosso in 2017 and 2018.
In endurance racing, Hartley has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times: in 2017 with Bamber and Bernhard, in 2020 with Buemi and Nakajima, and in 2022 with Buemi and Hirakawa. He has also won the FIA World Endurance Championship four times, a record he shares with his teammate Buemi. His combination of outright pace and consistency across stints has made him one of the most reliable performers in the top class.
The 2026 season opened with a striking result for the #8 crew at Imola, where Hartley and his teammates used strategy to beat Ferrari on their home circuit, handing Toyota its 50th WEC race victory in its 100th start. Hartley enters Le Mans 2026 with plenty of motivation to add a fourth Le Mans win to his record.
