Frederic Makowiecki

Frederic Makowiecki is a French racing driver born in Arras who competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for the Alpine Endurance Team, sharing the #36 Alpine A424 with Jules Gounon and Victor Martins. He joined Alpine in 2025 after a decade as a Porsche factory driver, during which he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GTE Pro class in 2022.

Before joining Porsche in 2014, Makowiecki raced across multiple GT series and established himself as one of France's most experienced endurance specialists. With Porsche, he moved into the Hypercar class in 2023, racing a Porsche 963 in the WEC alongside Dane Cameron and Michael Christensen. He secured two podium finishes in his first season with Alpine in 2025.

Makowiecki brings the rare experience of having competed in WEC's Hypercar class with two different manufacturers, giving him technical breadth that benefits the Alpine programme. In 2026, his primary focus alongside Gounon and Martins is on building pace consistency for Le Mans.
