James Calado

James Calado is a British racing driver who has been part of Ferrari's factory programme since 2014. In 2026, he continues in the #51 Ferrari 499P alongside Alessandro Pier Guidi and Antonio Giovinazzi, defending the Hypercar Drivers' World Championship the trio won together in 2025. He has signed a multi-year extension with Ferrari, confirming his commitment beyond the current season.

Calado's most celebrated result came at the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans, the centenary edition, where the #51 crew claimed the overall win and returned Ferrari to the top step of the Le Mans podium for the first time since 1965. The three drivers have now won twice overall at Le Mans together as a lineup. Earlier in his WEC career, Calado also won three LMGTE Pro world titles alongside Pier Guidi.

Entering 2026 as part of the title-defending crew, Calado brings the experience of 22 Hypercar races with three wins. Antonio Giovinazzi's strong showing in 2025, including a pole at the 2026 Imola opener, has raised the ambitions of the whole car. The #51 crew remains a strong candidate for a second consecutive championship.
