Jules Gounon is a French racing driver born on 31 December 1994 in Aubenas who competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for the Alpine Endurance Team, sharing the #36 Alpine A424 with Frederic Makowiecki and Victor Martins. The son of former Formula 1 driver Jean-Marc Gounon, he built his reputation across endurance racing's most demanding events before stepping into Hypercar.
Gounon won the 24 Hours of Spa twice, in 2017 and 2022, and the Bathurst 12 Hour three times, in 2020, 2022, and 2023. He also won the 24 Hours of Daytona in the GTD Pro class in 2023. Promoted to a full-time seat in the #36 Alpine A424 in 2025, he secured two podium finishes in his debut Hypercar season.
In 2026, the #36 car finished at the sharp end of practice sessions at Spa, with Gounon leading the way in the second free practice session. His consistent ability to find pace quickly on new circuits has been a key asset for the #36 Alpine crew.
