Kamui Kobayashi is a Japanese racing driver who holds the unique distinction of being both a driver and team principal for Toyota Racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship. He shares the #7 TR010 Hybrid with Mike Conway and Nyck de Vries, balancing race duties with overseeing the entire Toyota factory programme.

His most iconic achievement came at the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans, where he won from pole position alongside Conway and Jose Maria Lopez, becoming the fourth Japanese driver ever to win the race outright and the second to do so for a Japanese manufacturer. In 2017 he set the current lap record at Circuit de la Sarthe with a time of 3:14.791.

As team principal since 2022, Kobayashi has guided Toyota to three consecutive World Manufacturers' Championship titles. In 2026, his #7 crew opened the season with a third-place finish at Imola, continuing the programme's run of podium-level consistency.
