Robin Frijns is a Dutch racing driver who competes in the #20 BMW M Hybrid V8 for BMW M Team WRT in the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship, alongside René Rast and Sheldon van der Linde. He won back-to-back championship titles in Formula Renault in his debut year before building a career across Formula E, the DTM, and endurance racing. In 2021 he claimed the Le Mans 24 Hours and WEC Drivers' Championship in LMP2.

The 2026 season brought the result Frijns and the BMW WEC programme had been working toward. At the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in May 2026, the #20 crew delivered BMW's first overall victory in the WEC's top Hypercar class, converting a bold strategy call into a win and completing a BMW one-two finish on the day. Frijns acknowledged after the race that the win was one the team needed.

With BMW making progress through the early 2026 rounds, the #20 car has emerged as a genuine contender heading into Le Mans. Frijns brings a broad technical background having raced in Formula E and the DTM, and his reading of a race over long stints makes him a strong asset in the WEC's endurance format.
