Roman de Angelis is a Canadian racing driver born on 15 February 2001 who joins the #009 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH crew at the longer endurance rounds of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship, including Le Mans and Bahrain, alongside Alex Riberas and Marco Sorensen. He is a full-season Aston Martin Valkyrie driver in IMSA alongside Ross Gunn.
De Angelis won the Canadian National Karting Championship in 2014 at the age of 13. He joined the Heart of Racing Aston Martin programme and has built a strong record in IMSA's GTD and GTP divisions. He was part of the crew that finished second at the 2025 Motul Petit Le Mans, the first podium for the Aston Martin Valkyrie in global competition, alongside Gunn and Alex Riberas.
At just 25 years old, de Angelis is among the youngest Hypercar drivers in the WEC. His 2026 Le Mans appearance follows three seasons establishing himself within the Aston Martin factory ecosystem, and represents his most high-profile international endurance assignment to date.
